If it concerns the lifting, moving or transportation of heavy or large-scale components, then our strengths are sought after on an international scale: professionalism, decades of experience and a vehicle and machine park that also stands up to the most severe of challenges.
We operate a strict integrated management system in accordance with the national and international standards of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and the Safety Certificate for Contractors (SCC).
Top performance and uncompromising safety in all areas are therefore just as natural to us as showing respect for people both inside and outside our business operations.
Franz and Edith Bracht establish the company Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung (Franz Bracht Crane Hire) with optimism, entrepreneurial spirit and a tow truck.
Target-driven expansion of the service volume through the procurement of a DEMAG TC 400 lattice boom crane. With this, a load capacity of 100 t is achieved for the first time. Just one year later a second identical machine is commissioned.
With the purchase of a Gottwald AK 270 lattice boom crane, which can handle a maximum load capacity of 250 t, the potential customer base is expanded considerably.
The setting up of an international branch in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a courageous and groundbreaking step for the future development of the company. A further branch is added to this in 1983, in Kuwait.
The Gottwald AMK 600 is put into service. This means that for the first time the company can provide its customers with a telescopic truck-mounted crane with a maximum load capacity of 600 t.
With the commissioning of the DEMAG AC 1600, which has a maximum load capacity of 500 t, Franz Bracht has the largest telescopic crane on the market that can be operated with a fully fitted main boom.
12 mobile cranes and two crawler cranes belonging to the company are operating successfully at the major building site ‘Arena auf Schalke’.
The company’s vehicle fleet is enhanced by two Liebherr LR 1350 and Liebherr LR 1750 type crawler cranes with a maximum load capacity of 750 t and a hook height of 180 m.
The 40th anniversary will always be associated with a sad event. On 1 August 2004, the company’s founder Franz Bracht dies much too early at the age of just 68. His passing is connected with a loss of entrepreneurialvision.
With the LTM 11200 telescopic crane from Liebherr, which has a maximum load carrying capacity of 1200 t and offers a telescopic boom length of 100 m, Bracht now has one of the most powerful telescopic cranes in the world.
Another Terex Demag CC 2800 lattice boom crawler crane is purchased, adding greatly to the strength and appeal of the Bracht machine park. By doing this, the company now has three structurally identical machines with an exceptional performance rating including a load capacity of 600 t and a reach of 10 m, which not only offer first-class load bearing capacities for all areas of work, easy assembly and minimal setup times, but also a variable superlift radius and main boom offsets for SW and SWSL luffing jib configurations. These lattice boom crawler cranes also stand out with their main boom strengthening kit, innovative IC-1 touchscreen crane control system and improved lifting options for the boom systems.
Bracht intensifies its involvement at all locations where crawler cranes are sought for large and extremely large hub projects. This is sufficient reason to invest in machines that are ideally adapted to the high requirements of these building sites. And this is precisely true of the reliable, economic and user-friendly Terex crawler cranes. The company therefore decides to purchase another Terex lattice boom crawler crane.
Control the present – to prepare yourself for future challenges. This motto has defined the Bracht company policy since the company was founded. And nothing has changed right up to the present day. In order to be able to successfully meet current and future challenges, between 2013 and 2016 alone, six of the latest generation CC 3800 lattice boom crawler cranes were acquired. Three of these are equipped with so-called Boom Booster kits. These enable an increased load capacity of up to around 30%.
